Active living
An active lifestyle is important for good health and for achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
However, less than half of Queensland adults are getting the minimum of thirty minutes of physical activity they need each day for good health.
We have an increasingly sedentary lifestyle due to our society changing over the years. Labour saving devices, technology, car ownership, urban growth and passive entertainment have all contributed to this.
For these reasons we need to be more active and increase our activity at every opportunity to fit more movement wherever possible into the day.
